tipsThe foam ear tips are a much needed upgrade from the standard. The standard ear tips may not properly conform to the inner ear. The foam ear tips, having the ability to expand within the inner ear provides two most important things:

1. There is an increase in noise cancellation.

2. The bass quality is increased.

In conclusion; the STATUS ear-buds are the Rolls-Royce of ear-buds from my perspective. I suggest making the foam ear tips (at least). the default for the Pro X series.
