I’m on my 3rd version of Status earbuds and they just keep getting better! I started with the black Between Pro, then they gave us older folks with white hair the white Between ANC ( I have 2 sets) and now for even better quality and sound the white ProX! I’m not one to talk about the bass and such, I’ll leave that to the younger folks but I’ll tell you the sound is amazing! I use them to watch tv shows on my iPad and the words are crystal clear and so easy to understand everything being spoken. I use them when cleaning my house and listen to music and I take them on my walks with my dog and listen to podcasts. I do have the other “fruity” brand and never use them. I’m actually giving those to my grandson.

You will not be disappointed with Status!!

Before I ordered, I'll admit that I was sceptical. I couldn't see all that many video reviews and it's hard to guage whether a set of earphones will sound good, without seeing them in person.

After about 4 months of um-ing and ah-ing, I took the plunge and ordered them. A big part of this decision was the 30 day try and return option.

They were a bit unusual to start with with the size / shape / weight, but for the most part I've managed to get them to sit well and I can be fairly active without the worry of them falling out.

The app is super clear and easy to use. Though I've not really tinkered with the EQ, I've been pretty happy with the preset STATUS tuning.

Overall the audio quality is great and I'm really enjoying them.

I have a few negatives but I don't think they are enough to reduce my rating;

1. The lid of the case is a little flimsy at the hinge and not representative of a premium product

2. I'd like to see an option for XL eartips, for me the L's don't quite create the seal I need

3. The option to modify what the button on top does, the app only allows you to change the capacitive side touch (single / double / long)

I pre-ordered the pro-X when they first came out because I loved the between 3anc. I never had a single complaint about the pro-x but after they accidentally got run over by the mower. I immediately went to order new ones and saw the new golden sound version! They just arrived and sound better than ever! And look really cool!

I got these beautiful Pro X earbuds yesterday. Download the app and try to pair but I got the message - “devise not found”

Took long time to pair the new earbuds to my Apple phone and MAC laptop.

Noise cancellation not as good as Apple AirPods 3 or Bose earbuds. I am not happy with Status Pro X due to paring difficulties and poor noise cancellation.

The Sound Is Ready. The Rest Isn’t.

The sound is honestly really good, but actually using the Pro X kinda felt like testing a product that wasn’t finished yet. Sometimes brushing an earbud against my shoulder paused my music, then when I actually wanted to pause or skip, my taps wouldn’t register unless I aimed directly at the center. The top button for ANC and transparency was awkward too because pressing it could shift the earbud and break the seal. And every time I switched modes, the audio muted for about a second while the chime played—but the song or show kept going, so suddenly I had missed two or three words. My AirPods Pro 2 never interrupt the audio like that. ANC is good and transparency is okay, but neither feels as natural or polished as I expected.

Now the actual sound is crisp, the bass has a really clean and separate punch, and you can hear more detail in the vocals and instruments, I genuinely liked that. The EQ and customization are great too. But to my ears, it was maybe 5–10% richer—not some night-and-day transformation. These feel like a rough diamond: the sound is already there, but everything around it needs more love and polishing. At $249, that small sound improvement wasn’t worth a more frustrating everyday experience. They aren’t bad, and maybe the next generation will be amazing…but this one just isn’t there yet for me :)
